This is one of my favourite desserts. This brings back my memories when I was a kid. It is so easy to make and delicious to eat.

Ingredients:

Vermicelli bambino – Half cup or handful

Milk – 1 Litre

Dry fruits – Few raisins, few cashew (as per your taste)

Ghee – 1 table spoon for dry fruits & 1 table spoon for Vermicelli

Cardamom powder – Pinch

Sugar – Half Cup

Method:

On a pan pour some ghee and fry dry fruits (do not burn them). After frying dry fruits keep them in a plate and fry vermicelli till it turns golden brown. Now add milk to it and keep simmering and stirring it in between till the vermicelli is cooked completely and its soft. Just before switching
the stove off, put sugar and after melting put some cardamom powder and dry fruits. Now the dessert is ready to be served.
It can be consumed hot or cold.

Note:

  1. You can also add condensed milk for more richer texture and flavor.
  2. You can also cook vermicelli in hot water and then add milk at the end to speed up the process. (Usually it is cooked only with milk until the milk thickens and vermicelli is cooked).

Try different variations and you can stick to what you like.
